Be it enacted by the Council as follows: Section 1. Section FC 1408.1 of the New York city fire code as added by local law number 26 for the year 2008, is amended to read as follows: 1408.1 Fire safety manager. Where a site safety manager or site safety coordinator is required by the Building Code, the owner shall designate a person to be the fire safety manager for the construction site. [The] Except for buildings constructed to a height of fifteen floors or more, the fire safety manager may be the site safety manager or site safety coordinator required by the Building Code. The fire safety manager shall be responsible for ensuring compliance with the requirements of this code, including this chapter, and the rules. §2.
