Be it enacted by the Council as follows: Section one. Paragraph e and f of subdivision 5 of section 1301 of the New York city charter are amended and a new paragraph g is added to read as follows: e. promote cooperation among business, labor and community organizations in response to labor market conditions; [and] f. promote public awareness of resources available for the economically disadvantaged and unemployed, and to refer the public to appropriate job training and employment services[.]; and g. submit to the mayor and the speaker of the council by January 31 of each year beginning in 2016, a report for the prior fiscal year on the performance of workforce1 centers in the city. Such report shall include a list of all workforce1 centers in the city and for each such center: (1) the number of new registrants; (2) the number of workforce1 registrants who obtained employment through such center during the previous fiscal year; (3) the six-month and one-year job retention rates for workforce1 registrants who obtained employment through such center; and (4) the number of registrants who received job training disaggregated by industry. � 2.
