Summary
The bill would increase civil penalties for violations of the Administrative Code relating to street construction, maintenance, repairs, obstructions and closures, raising the maximum amount of such penalties from $500 or $1000 to $5,000 and from $5,000 to $10,000.

Be it enacted by the Council as follows:
Section 1. Paragraph 1 of subdivision b of section 19-150 of the administrative code of the city of New York, as amended by local law number 4 for the year 2011, is amended to read as follows:
