Summary
This bill would require the Department of Housing Preservation and Development to report annually on the bedbug-related complaints received by the Department, the notices of violation issued by the Department regarding bedbugs, the average time it takes for bedbug violations to be corrected by property owners, the steps taken by the Department to remediate bedbug violations that are not corrected by property owners, and the public education conducted by the Department to inform tenants and property owners of bedbug prevention and remediation measures and responsibilities. The bill would also require the Department to publish a map on its web site of all bedbug-related complaints and their status, to be updated quarterly.
