Be it enacted by the Council as follows: Section 1. Article 103 of title 28 of the administrative code of the city of New York is amended by adding a new section 28-103.35 to read as follows: � 28-103.35 E-mail notice of construction project updates. The department shall provide, free of charge, a service allowing users to register to receive an automated e-mail notification each time a change in status is recorded with respect to one or more construction projects, selected by such user. Such email notifications shall include any updates to work permits issued by the department for each such selected construction project, including issuance of any stop work order issued pursuant to section 28-207.2. � 2. This local law takes effect 180 days after it becomes law, except that the commissioner of buildings shall take such measures as are necessary for the implementation of this local law, including the promulgation of rules, before such date.
