Summary

This bill would require the New York City Department of Buildings to issue to each Council Member and community board, no later than the 10th day of each month, a report on New Building construction, Alteration Type-1, and full demolition permits issued during the prior calendar month for properties within the appropriate council district and community district, respectively. The report would include, for each permit: the name of the applicant; the location of the property; whether the property is vacant; and whether there are any open complaints for the property.

Be it enacted by the Council as follows: Section 1. Chapter 1 of title 28 of the administrative code of the city of New York is amended by adding new section 28-105.1.3 to read as follows: �28-105.1.3 Monthly report of permits to community boards and council members. The department shall, no later than the tenth day of each month, issue a report to each council member and community board containing information on new building, alteration type-1, and full demolition permits issued during the prior calendar month for properties located within the relevant council district and community district, respectively. The report shall be disaggregated by job type, and shall contain for each permit: (i) the name of the applicant; (ii) the location of the property; (iii) whether such property is vacant, and (iv) any open complaints for such property. � 2.
