By Council Members Salamanca and Adams WHEREAS, the New York City School Construction Authority submitted to the Council on November 26, 2018, a site plan dated November 26, 2018, pursuant to Section 1732 of the New York State Public Authorities Law for a new, approximately 456-Seat Intermediate/High School Facility, known as I.S./H.S. Hungerford New School R86, to be located at 715 Ocean Terrace (Block 683, p/o Lot 1), Community District No. 2, Borough of Staten Island, Community School District No. 31 (the "Site Plan"); WHEREAS, the Site Plan is subject to review and action by the Council pursuant to Section 1732 of the New York State Public Authorities Law; WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Site Plan on November 29, 2018; and WHEREAS, the Council has considered the relevant environmental issues, including the negative declaration issued October 24, 2018 (SEQR Project No. 19-005) (the "Negative Declaration"); and WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Site Plan. RESOLVED: Having considered the Negative Declaration, and the land use implication and other policy issued relating to the Site Plan, with respect to the Application. Pursuant to Section 1732 of the Public Authorities Law, and on the basis of the environmental determination, incorporated by reference herein, the Council approves the Site Plan. Adopted.
