Summary
This bill would require the Inspector General for the Police Department to make public the disciplinary records of leadership in the New York City Police Department by submitting such records to the Council and by posting such records on the Department of Investigation’s website. This bill would also require the Inspector General for the Police Department to review such records and to submit a report to the Council, as well as to post such report on the Department of Investigation’s website, that summarizes instances of substantiated misconduct and related disciplinary measures documented in such records.
