Summary
This bill would establish a task force to examine reckless driving by tow truck operators. The task force would consist of the Commissioner of Consumer and Worker Protection, the Commissioner of Transportation, the Police Commissioner, one member appointed by the Mayor and one member appointed by the Speaker of the Council. The task force would be required to submit a report of its recommendations to address reckless driving and speeding by tow truck operators, including proposed changes to laws, agency rules, agency enforcement practices and traffic safety strategies.
