Summary

Be it enacted by the Council as follows:
Section 1. Chapter 2 of title 12 of the administrative code of the city of New York, is amended by adding a new section 12-220 to read as follows:
� 12-220 Promotion of civil service examinations. a. Definitions. As used in this section, the term "LinkNYC kiosk" means a public communications structure, on which advertising is permitted pursuant to a franchise agreement with the city.
b. The commissioner of citywide administrative services shall conduct an advertising campaign to promote civil service examinations throughout the city. Such campaign shall include promotion through social media; agency websites; online advertising; and advertising on television, radio, public transportation, or LinkNYC kiosks.
� 2. This local law takes effect immediately.
