Be it enacted by the Council as follows: Section 1. Chapter 1 of Title 17 of the administrative code of the city of New York is amended by adding a new section 17-199.19 to read as follows: � 17-199.19 Menstrual hygiene products for university students. a. For the purposes of this section, "menstrual hygiene products" means tampons, sanitary napkins and other products for use in connection with the menstrual cycle. b. The department shall make available to the city university of New York, at no cost, a supply of menstrual hygiene products, sufficient to meet the needs of students, as soon as practicable upon request by such university. � 2.
