Summary

This bill would require the Mayor’s Office of Community Mental Health (OCMH) to maintain an interactive map of the locations, contact information, and payment information (including type of insurance accepted) of mental health services providers included in the mental health services database described in Proposed Introduction Number 706-A.

Be it enacted by the Council as follows: Section 1. Subchapter 9 of chapter 1 of title 3 of the administrative code of the city of New York, as amended by a local law for the year 2023 amending the administrative code of the city of New York, relating to requiring the office of community mental health to maintain access to a publicly accessible online searchable database, as proposed in introduction number 706-A, is amended by adding a new section 3-193 to read as follows: � 3-193 Interactive map of mental health service providers. The office, in consultation with relevant agencies, shall maintain, through its website, access to a publicly accessible interactive map of the mental health services included in the database described in section 3-191. The office shall indicate on its website that such map provides access to the following information on each mental health service provider, to the extent such information is provided to the city: 1. Address, office hours, and contact information; 2. Mental health services provided; and 3. Payment information. � 2. This local law takes effect on the same date as a local law for the year 2023 amending the administrative code of the city of New York, relating to requiring the office of community mental health to maintain access to an online services database, as proposed in introduction number 706-A, takes effect.
