Summary
This bill would require the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH) to develop a 5-year population health agenda for the purpose of improving public health outcomes, addressing health disparities, and improving the quality of and access to healthcare for generally and defined groups of individuals in New York City in order to improve life expectancy. This bill would also require DOHMH to submit annual reports to the Mayor and the Speaker of the Council that describes DOHMH’s progress towards achieving the goals in the population health agenda.
