Be it enacted by the Council as follows:
Section 1. Section 8-124 of the administrative code of the city of New York, as amended by local law number 63 for the year 2018, is amended to read as follows:
� 8-124 Civil penalties for violating commission orders. Any person who fails to comply with an order issued by the commission pursuant to section 8-115 or section 8-120 shall be liable for a civil penalty of not more than [$50,000] $100,000 and an additional civil penalty of not more than [$100] $200 per day for each day that the violation continues.
� 2. This local law takes effect 60 days after it becomes law.
