Be it enacted by the Council as follows: Section 1. Chapter 1 of title 21 of the administrative code of the city of New York is amended by adding a new section 21-154 to read as follows: � 21-154 Rental assistance application response time. a. Definitions. For purposes of this section, the term "CityFHEPS" means the rental assistance program established in chapter 10 of title 68 of the rules of the city of New York, or any successor program. b. Within 15 days after the department receives an application for CityFHEPS, the department shall inform the applicant of whether the application has been approved, denied, or requires correction or additional information. � 2.
