Sanchez, Restler, Avil�s, Wong, Aldebol, Brooks-Powers, Thomas-Henry, Schulman, Wilson, Paladino, Vernikov and Ariola ..Title A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to codifying the official flag of the borough of Staten Island ..Body Be it enacted by the Council as follows: Section 1. Chapter 1 of title 2 of the administrative code of the city of New York is amended by adding a new section 2-107 to read as follows: � 2-107 Official flag; borough of Staten Island. a. The following description is hereby adopted as the description of the official flag of the borough of Staten Island. A cream-colored background with a circular seal in its center. The seal is blue, green, white, and yellow. Within the seal appears a figure of a woman holding a downturned sword in her left hand and a shield in her right hand. The shield bears 2 turtle doves. The woman is looking at a body of water in which there are 2 boats: a large ship, and a small boat carrying 3 figures. These images are set against a sky with clouds, stars, and a crescent moon. Encircling the image on a green background are the words "Staten Island" above the image and "City of New York" below it, along with the dates 1609 and 1898. b.
