A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to the posting of signs regarding dog waste removal
..Body
Be it enacted by the Council as follows:
Section 1. Chapter 1 of title 18 of the administrative code of the city of New York is amended by adding a new section 18-171 to read as follows:
� 18-171 Signs regarding dog waste removal. The commissioner shall, to the extent practicable in consideration of the local geography, conspicuously post signs regarding dog waste removal at the entryways of each park and dog run within the jurisdiction of the department. Each sign required under this section shall summarize the department's rule requiring a person in custody or control of a dog to promptly remove and dispose of any feces left by such dog in such park or dog run.
� 2. This local law takes effect 180 days after it becomes law.
