A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to seasonal enclosures for sidewalk cafes
..Body
Be it enacted by the Council as follows:
Section 1. Paragraph 2 of subdivision b of section 19-160 of the administrative code of the city of New York, as added by local law number 121 for the year 2023, is amended to read as follows:
2. A sidewalk cafe, other than an enclosed sidewalk cafe, shall be open-air and shall contain only readily removable tables, chairs and other removable decorative items, [as set forth in such rules] except that a sidewalk cafe may include removable vertical screenings and overhead coverings from October 1 to March 31, inclusive.
� 2. This local law takes effect 120 days after it becomes law.
