No. 1061 By Council Members Stevens, Narcisse, Williams, Gutiérrez, Maloney, Joseph, Riley, Brewer, Hankerson, Aldebol, Epstein, Nurse, Farías, Restler, Dinowitz and Morano A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to allowing customers to select a plaza as the location of a 311 complaint Be it enacted by the Council as follows: Section 1. Chapter 3 of title 23 of the administrative code of the city of New York is amended by adding a new section 23-315 to read as follows: § 23-315 Plazas. a. Definitions. As used in this section, the term “pedestrian plaza” has the same meaning as set forth in subdivision a of section 19-157. b. The department of information technology and telecommunications, in consultation with the department of transportation, shall implement and maintain on its 311 customer service center website and mobile device platforms the capability for a member of the public, when submitting a complaint or request for service related to a condition or incident occurring on or within a pedestrian plaza, to: (i) select “pedestrian plaza” as the location type of such complaint or request for service; and (ii) specify the particular pedestrian plaza by name when indicating the address of such complaint or request for service. § 2.
