Be it enacted by the Council as follows:
Section 1. Section 4 of the New York city charter, as amended by local law number 92 for the year 1995, is amended to read as follows:
�4. Election term; salary. The mayor shall be elected at the general election in the year nineteen hundred sixty-five and every fourth year thereafter. The mayor shall hold office for a term of four years commencing on the first day of January after each such election. The salary of the mayor shall be one hundred [sixty-five] ninety-five thousand dollars a year.
�2. Subdivisions a and b of section 26 of the New York city charter, as amended by local law number 92 for the year 1995, section 26 as renumbered by vote of the electors of such city at a general election held on November 7, 1989, are amended to read as follows:
a. The salary of the public advocate shall be one hundred [twenty-five] fifty thousand dollars a year.
b. The salary of each council member shall be [seventy] ninety thousand [five hundred] dollars a year. In addition any council member, while serving as a committee chairperson or other officer of the council, may also be paid, in addition to such salary, an allowance fixed by resolution, after a hearing, for the particular and additional services pertaining to the additional duties of such position.
�3. Subdivision c of section 81 of the New York city charter, as amended by local law number 92 for the year 1995, is amended to read as follows:
c. The salary of the borough president shall be one hundred [fourteen] thirty-five thousand dollars a year.
�4. Section 91 of the New York city charter, as amended by local law number 92 for the year 1995, is amended to read as follows:
�91. Election; term; salary. The comptroller shall be elected by the electors of the city at the same time and for the same terms as in this charter prescribed for the mayor. The salary of the comptroller shall be one hundred [thirty-three] sixty thousand dollars a year.
�5. Section eleven hundred twenty-five of the New York city charter, as amended by local law number 3 for the year 1992, is amended to read as follows:
�1125. Salaries of the district attorneys: Each of the district attorneys of the counties of New York Bronx, Kings, Queens and Richmond shall receive an annual salary equal to the compensation received by a justice of the supreme court in the county in which such district attorney has been elected and is serving, or one hundred [twenty-five] fifty thousand dollars a year, whichever is greater.
�6. This local law shall take effect forty-five days after adoption and shall be deemed in full force and effect as of July 1, 1999.
