Be it enacted by the Council as follows: Section 1. Title 17 of the administrative code of the city of New York is hereby amended by adding a new section 17-112.1 to read as follows: 17-112.1 Monitoring the effect of the World Trade Center attacks on the health of Lower Manhattan residents, workers and schoolchildren. Commencing six months after the effective date of this section and every six months thereafter, the department shall submit to the mayor and the city council a report summarizing the effect of the attacks on the World Trade Center, which occurred on September 11, 2001, on the health of individuals who reside, work or attend school south of 14th Street. The report shall include but not be limited to the effect on cardiopulmonary, respiratory and auto-immune health and the presence of any clusters of health conditions related thereto. � 2. This local law shall take effect immediately.
