Be it enacted by the Council as follows:
Section 1. Title 17 of the administrative code of the city of New York is hereby amended by adding a new section 17-112.1 to read as follows:
17-112.1 Monitoring the effect of the World Trade Center attacks on the health of lower Manhattan residents, workers and schoolchildren. Commencing six months after the effective date of the local law that added this section and every six months thereafter, the department shall submit to the mayor and the council a report summarizing the effect of the September 11, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center on the health of individuals who reside, work or attend school south of fourteenth street in the borough of Manhattan of the city of New York. Such report shall include, but not be limited to, the effect on cardiopulmonary, respiratory and auto-immune health, and the presence of any clusters of health conditions related thereto.
§ 2. This local law shall take effect immediately.
