Be it enacted by the Council as follows: Section 1. Chapter one of title 15 is amended by adding a new section 15-129 to read as follows: § 15-129. Firehouse emergency power. a. By January 1, 2007, all firehouses shall be equipped with an emergency power source sufficient to operate essential equipment for at least 48 hours. b. Firehouse emergency power sources shall be tested annually, including, when practicable, testing under loss of power conditions. § 2. This local law shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
