Be it enacted by the Council as follows: Section 1. Section 10 of chapter one of the New York City charter is amended by adding a new subdivision e, to read as follows: e. Mayor’s Absence from The City. When the Mayor will be beyond a two hundred and fifty mile radius of the city limits for more than 24 hours, or outside of the continental United States for any amount of time, the Mayor shall notify the Clerk of the City of New York, in writing, of the date and time at which such absence will commence and end. § 2.
