Summary

This bill would prohibit the Department of Transportation from suspending parking rules with respect to parking, standing, or stopping of vehicles that exceed forty eight feet in length, eight feet in width and thirteen feet and six inches in height on any street that is within seventy five feet of any residential premises or building that contains residential units.

Be it enacted by the Council as follows: Section 1. Subchapter 2 of chapter 1 of title 19 of the administrative code of the city of New York is amended by adding a new section 19-171.3 to read as follows: � 19-171.3 Parking restrictions for oversize motor vehicles in residential districts. Notwithstanding any provision of the New York city charter or the code, parking rules shall not be suspended with respect to the parking, standing or stopping of any motor vehicle that exceeds forty eight feet in length, eight feet in width and thirteen feet and six inches in height on any part of a street that is within seventy-five feet of any residential premises or building that contains residential units. � 2.
