Be it enacted by the Council as follows: Section 1. Subchapter one of chapter one of title 3 of the administrative code of the city of New York is amended by adding a new section 3-118 to read as follows: � 3-118 Small business accessibility coordinator. a. The director of the mayor's office for people with disabilities or other representative of the mayor designated by the mayor shall designate an employee or employees to serve as small business accessibility coordinator(s) within the mayor's office for people with disabilities. Each such coordinator shall serve as a resource and be available to organize and coordinate programs for educating small business owners and operators about obligations that they may have under local, state and federal law, rules and regulations to make their business or businesses accessible to people with disabilities. Each accessibility coordinator shall to the extent practicable, meet regularly with the small business community and serve as a liaison between such community and city agencies that are involved with accessibility projects, including, but not limited to, the department of buildings, the commission on human rights, the landmarks preservation commission, and the department of small business services. b. No later than January 1, 2016, and no later than every January 1st thereafter, the director of the mayor's office for people disabilities, or other representative of the office of the mayor designated by the mayor, shall provide to the mayor and the speaker of the council a listing of the name and contact information of the designated small business accessibility coordinator(s). � 2.
