Summary
This bill would require the Department of Education, in collaboration with the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, to submit a report to the Council about outreach to individuals who were students, teachers or staff members at schools near the World Trade Center during the 2001-2002 school year. The report would include information about efforts to inform these individuals about their eligibility for programs to help people who may have been harmed due to the attacks on September 11, 2001, difficulties and issues with these efforts and recommendations for further outreach.
