Summary

Be it enacted by the Council as follows: Section 1. The definition of "gender" in section 8-102 of the administrative code of the city of New York, as added by local law number 63 for the year 2018, is amended to read as follows: Gender. The term "gender" includes actual or perceived sex, sex characteristics, including intersex traits, gender identity and gender expression, including a person's actual or perceived gender-related self-image, appearance, behavior, expression or other gender-related characteristic, regardless of the sex assigned to that person at birth. � 2.
